Chartreuse Foam Wing Caddis By: Larry Jurgens Source: Larry Jurgens Hook: TMC 100 Size: 14 ~ 20 Thread: Tan UTC 70 Body: Olive Brown Ice Dub Wing: Chartreuse Wrightway Caddis Wing Hackle: Grizzly Head: Thread Step Tying Instruction Step Tying Instruction 1 Start thread behind hook eye and wrap thread base to above hook barb. 2 Dub a tapered body forward to one eye length behind the hook eye. 3 Return the thread to the 1/4 hookshank point. 4 Tie in the hackle. 5 Tie in the wing material. The notch of the “V” should line up with the end of the body. 6 Wrap the hackle a minimum of 3 wraps and tie in and cut off excess. 7 Whip-finish using a minimum of wraps. 8 Cut the point of the wing material even with the hook point. This creates the head, e.g., Elk Hair Caddis style. 9 Cut a “V” in the bottom of the hackle so the fly will float lower in the water. For a “Slow Water Caddis” pattern
